The CHEST Foundation Distinguished Scholar Program
The CHEST Foundation embarked on an endowment campaign in 2000 that was designed to provide a significant base of funding in support of CHEST Foundation awards and programming. The Distinguished Scholar Awards Program provides multiyear research grants to ACCP members, focusing on a specific area of cardiopulmonary and critical care medicine. The anticipated outcomes are an impact on clinical practice, improving the quality of patients’ lives, and in some instances, saving lives. Through the generous support from Eli Lilly and Company and GlaxoSmithKline, the Distinguished Scholar Program has thrived.
