Each year, The CHEST Foundation confers awards for volunteer service, leadership, and clinical research. Nearly 800 recipients have received $5.7 million worldwide to recognize and reward outstanding clinical work in chest and critical care medicine. You could be eligible for these 2011 awards:
Service Awards
- D. Robert McCaffree, MD, Master FCCP Humanitarian Awards—multiple awards totaling up to $50,000
Distinguished Scholar Award
- Third GlaxoSmithKline Distinguished Scholar in Thrombosis—$150,000
Clinical Research and Leadership Awards
- Alpha-1 Foundation and The CHEST Foundation Clinical Research Award in COPD and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin (ATT) Deficiency —$25,000
- Association of Specialty Professors and The CHEST Foundation of the ACCP Geriatric Development Award (with $100,000 NIH GEMSTARR grant)—$50,000
- The CHEST Foundation California Chapter Clinical Research/Medical Education Award—$5,000
- The CHEST Foundation and the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago Clinical Research Award in Women's Lung Health—$10,000
- Roger C. Bone Advances in End-of-Life Care Award—$10,000
